Welcome to
South Hamilton Elementary, a pre-kindergarten through sixth
grade school, located on the banks of the Suwannee River in
historic White Springs, Florida.
White
Springs, Florida, is the home of the Stephen Foster State Folk
Culture Center, and site of Phosphate Company of Saskatchewan
(PCS): White Springs, Hamilton County's largest employer and
taxpayer.
Students at
South Hamilton are offered a full range of academic subjects
taught by a fully-certified instructional staff. The school has
a proactive administration which encourages progressive,
research based programs that positively affect the lives of
students. The school has been accredited by the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) since 1970.
A wide range of cultural
opportunities for students at South Hamilton are provided
through the Stephen Foster State Folk Culture Center State Park. A staff
folklorist at the Stephen Foster Center designs folk life
immersion projects for students.
